Fall 2024 Closing Information
Important Dates
Friday, December 13, 2024
Winter Break Housing Application deadline. Residents who apply will remain in their room and retain building/room door access during the winter break.
Friday, December 20, 2024
Last day of the Fall meal plan. Meal swipes end and will not carry over to the spring. Grubhub Dining Dollars and Duckbills will carry over to the Spring 2025 semester. Students can use Grubhub Dining Dollars and Duckbills when the Dining Halls are closed.

Residence Halls will close for Winter Break. Students with exams on 12/21 will be granted an extension upon request (extension form online). Students without a Winter Break application or extension request must vacate within 24 hours after their last final or by 12/20 and check out online. Students returning for Spring 2025 should keep their room key, and items may be left in the room (at their own regard). Students not returning in the spring should completely vacate the room, check out online, and return their key to the Harries Desk by 12/20. Detailed closing information will be emailed to students in November.

Residence Halls open for the Spring 2025 semester. Students may move into their Spring 2025 room starting at 10 am. Detailed Spring 2025 Opening information will be emailed to students in December.

Fall 2025 Housing Application opens. Students interested in living in Stevens housing for Fall 2025-Spring 2026 must apply by the deadline (February 28, 2025).

Assignments
-Housing assignments are based on availability.
-Applications received by Friday, December 20, 2024, will be assigned and notified by Friday, January 10, 2025.

Housing Security Deposit
- When you submit your application you will be directed to our payment portal.
- You will need your Stevens ID number to submit the $500 Housing Security Deposit.
- The $500 Housing Security Deposit will be applied to your Workday account as a credit when you vacate housing for the 24-25 academic year.
Application Cancellation Fee
If you cancel your application for an unapproved reason you will be charged a $500 cancellation fee. Approved reasons can be found on the Housing and Cancellation policies.
Application Confirmation
Once you have submitted your housing application and paid your housing security deposit will be sent to your Stevens email address. If you do not receive a confirmation email we have not received your application. Please feel free to contact us at 201-216-5128 or RDS@stevens.edu if you have any questions regarding the process.
